Kevin Smith joins influential panel of law experts to discuss ethical conduct during trial
WSHB’s Kevin Smith joins an influential panel of law experts discussing civility in the courtroom at a joint litigation conference Wednesday, May 24th at the LA Hotel Downtown starting at 3:00 pm. Joining Smith is the Honorable Debre Weintraub, LASC Supervising Judge of Civil Court and the Honorable Samantha Jessner, LASC Assistant Supervising Judge of Civil Courts for a judicial perspective. “Litigators need to understand less than civil conduct can negatively impact their argument and reputation and adversely affect their clients’ case,” said Smith, a Founding Partner at WSHB. “This seminar offers good practice tips and a better understanding of why dignity, courtesy and integrity in the courtroom is paramount for successful legal professionals.”
Smith is a nationally celebrated trial lawyer who has spent the majority of his professional life trying cases on behalf of Fortune 500 companies and major corporations. In his 30 years of practice, Smith has defended commercial, professional liability, product liability, transportation and catastrophic matters in state and federal courts. Despite having to frequently, overcome difficult challenges on liability and damages in high exposure cases, he has obtained victories on behalf of his clients in an impressive ninety four percent of the cases he has tried. This has resulted in Smith being elected to the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates and regularly honored as a Southern California “Super Lawyer.”
