WSHB is proud to announce that Joseph Aguirre has been promoted to managing partner in Raleigh, North Carolina. Joseph specializes in litigating large-scale first- and third-party insurance claims. He additionally assists clients with complex pre-suit coverage disputes. While his primary focus is on navigating high-stakes insurance matters, Joseph also defends cases related to catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and environmental exposures.

WSHB welcomes partner Christine Atwood to our office in Dallas, Texas. Christine has over a decade of experience handling complex, high-stakes litigation and disputes nationwide and is licensed to practice in Texas, Colorado, and Nevada. She has served as the lead attorney in hundreds of party and expert depositions throughout her career and has successfully tried more than a dozen jury trials to verdict.

We proudly celebrate partner Catherine Deter who has been recognized as a CLM Professional of the Year Award- Outside Counsel Young Professional finalist. This recognition highlights her outstanding contributions to the claims and litigation community, including exceptional leadership. Catherine has also been recognized as one of CLM's 2025 Phenoms Under 40.
