WSHB Partner Jason Klein Leads Panel
At the upcoming 2023 Annual CLM Conference in Tampa, Florida, partner Jason Klein will present "Victimless Crime? Think Again: Insurance Fraud and Understanding the Issues" on March 30, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Jason will be joined by fellow thought leaders in this area: Bryant Hall with Engle Martin, Andy Guerra with Charles Taylor, and Nick Sansone.
In this pivotal panel, the presenters will discuss the common misconception that insurance fraud is a victimless crime. This session will identify and explain the types of insurance fraud that run rampant in the industry. Real life examples, such as disaster-related insurance claims, will be used to illustrate the problem. This session will examine the individuals and entities committing the fraud as well as help participants understand the impact of this crime from insurance carriers to the legal counsel involved in the case.
Jason Klein is the managing partner of WSHB's Denver office and a partner in the firm’s Florida offices. Jason is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice is dedicated to complex civil litigation in the areas of commercial business litigation, employment litigation and wrongful termination defense matters, Americans with Disabilities Act claims and compliance, as well as construction defect, transportation, professional liability and complex general liability litigation. In addition, Jason assists WSHB's national insurance coverage practice by advising and representing domestic and international insurers on first-party property (Homeowner’s and Commercial), commercial general liability, construction defect, and professional errors and omission claims.
