Florida Partner to share CRN expertise at 17th annual educational session for property insurance professionals
WSHB's Vincent Beilman will share his expertise regarding “CRN – The Three Most Feared Letters in the Insurance Industry” at the Windstorm Insurance Conference, February 1-4, 2016, at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Beilman is a partner in WSHB's Miami and Tampa offices, and is recognized coast to coast for his skilled results in complex insurance, construction, professional liability general liability, business and toxic tort litigation.
Representatives from all segments of the windstorm insurance claims industry convene for the three-day annual event to address the impact of past hurricane seasons and important windstorm insurance issues. In the CRN Workshop, it’there will be an open discussion of the pros and cons of filing Civil Remedy Notices of Insurer Violations (CRNs). In addition, there will be discussion from both the policy holder’s and insurance company’s perspective when, if you are going to file a CRN when is the best time to do so; what are the consequences of filing a CRN; strategies for responding to the CRN; in addition, recent case law decisions as they pertain to CRNs and property damage litigation and pitfalls that arise in both the filing of CRNs and the responses.
