The presentation titled, Get it Off My Desk! Effective Risk Transfer Strategies from Pre-Claim to Trial, will begin with strategies for early motion practice, pre-suit risk transfer, and pre-suit negotiation before transitioning to tactics for the eve of trial and throughout the trial process. The panel includes Athena Bozek of Riverstone Resources LLC; Walter Nelson from Tokio Marine HCC; Maren Mooney of Turner Surety and Insurance Brokerage and Jeff Heiliger. The panel will also address eleventh-hour settlements, offering practical advice for resolving claims with imminent trial dates.

Attendees will learn how to examine complicated claims with a fresh perspective and explore creative solutions to avoid costly trials. The session will also delve into the risks and rewards of maintaining resolution efforts through trial, ensuring claims professionals are well-prepared to achieve favorable outcomes for insureds while minimizing costs.
"Resolving claims late in litigation doesn't have to be a last resort- it can be a strategic advantage," added Deter. "This session will highlight how thoughtful, proactive approaches can lead to better outcomes for all parties involved."
