Senior associate, Megan McDonough, successfully secured a stipulation of discontinuance with prejudice after uncovering critical evidence that revealed false claims made by the plaintiff about an alleged workplace accident.
The plaintiff claimed to have been injured on the job. However, the employer denied both the employment relationship and the occurrence of any accident. In response, McDonough aggressively moved to amend the defense's answer to include a fraud claim. Following the plaintiff's deposition, which revealed significant inconsistencies in his account, plaintiff's counsel agreed to withdraw the action.
