WSHB is seeking a candidate residing in Pacific Standard Time (PST) Zone for a fully remote conflicts analyst position. The analyst will work closely with the conflicts manager, members of the conflicts department and the firmwide managing partner to support attorneys with opening new matters as well as onboarding new attorneys.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research prospective clients and other entities in internal databases and external references consistent with established department procedures.
• Provide clear and well written summaries of potential conflicts issues and possible resolutions to attorneys using established guidelines.
• Regularly consult with the manager to discuss conflicts reports and responses from attorneys that require additional review and suggest resolutions.
• Follows up in a timely manner with attorneys and assistants to ensure resolution of conflicts issues.
• Responds accurately to department email inquiries in a timely fashion.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
• Be available for overtime as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• This position requires critical thinking, strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as good attention to detail.
• Ability to work individually, as well as part of a team.
• Comfortable communicating with supervisor, attorneys, and support staff.
• Prior conflicts experience with a law firm, a professional service, or academic environment is preferred.
• Experience with Outlook, iManage, Aderant software (Conflicts Web Browser, Expert Assistant, and Expert), S&P Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters’ Company Investigator is a plus.
