The Los Angeles Business Journal announced that Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman has been nominated for the 3rd annual Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Award. WSHB is a proud participant in numerous charitable endeavors. Whether it's adopting families during the holidays to provide much needed food and resources to those less fortunate, walking to raise money for the March of Dimes or Juvenile Diabetes, growing out some magnificent moustaches in support of Movember, participating in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness 5K, or helping to grant wishes to terminally ill children, WSHB believes in giving back to our communities.
Founding partner Steve Henning has been nominated to receive Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Award as well, being recognized as an individual in the Los Angeles business community who provides a positive impact on the community. A skilled litigator, Steve is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer's Association. He is a founding Board member and President of the Construction Defect Community Charitable Foundation. He is also President of the Board of Governors for Levitt & Quinn, a public aid law firm which provides legal services to people in need.
WSHB not only coordinates firm-wide charitable efforts, it encourages all of its employees to act with the greater good in mind. Many of our offices support local charities throughout the year, and individuals have often brought great ideas for community engagement to the firm that have resulted in firm-wide participation.
