WSHB, a national law firm with 18 offices nationwide, announces that Daniel Berman, WSHB Co-Founder and Managing Partner, is promoted to firm chairman effective immediately. Dan assumed the role of firmwide managing partner in 2007 and has been instrumental in evolving the firm from a regional one with 75 lawyers in 8 offices in 3 western states into a prominent national law firm with almost 200 lawyers in 18 offices in 10 states.
“While truly exciting, due to the demands of our day to day operations coupled with larger, big picture strategic marketing, multiple new offices and continuous growth, WSHB has grown too large for a single managing partner,” said Dan. “ In order to continue to effectively manage and plan for our continued expansion while maintaining our unique culture, it is time for a restructuring of our management.”
Stewart Reid, partner in the WSHB Los Angeles office, has been promoted to firmwide managing partner, also effective immediately.
“To be abundantly clear, as the firm chairman, I am not going anywhere and will be working just as hard but with more time to devote to the ‘big picture’ items that impact this firm's operational success, as well as continuing to strengthen and expand our client relationships,” added Dan. “Together, Stewart and I will work closely to direct the short and long-term management of WSHB. Stewart has been with WSHB since its humble beginning in 1997 and this promotion is well-deserved.”
