It is with great pride that Wood Smith Henning & Berman announces that partner Greg Amundson, a distinguished leader in the Orange County office, has been selected as the National Representative for the Orange County Chapter by the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Amundson's term will commence in January 2025.
ABOTA is a prestigious national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials. ABOTA is committed to promoting professionalism, ethics and fostering education and advocacy for fair and effective judicial processes. Applicants must have tried at least ten civil cases to verdict and demonstrate the highest ethical and professional conduct. All attorneys who are members of ABOTA have earned great distinction at trial. Membership is by invitation only.
"We are incredibly proud of Greg Amundson for being selected as the ABOTA National Representative for Orange County Chapter," said founding partner Stephen Henning. "This is a true testament to his outstanding legal expertise and skills as a trial lawyer, dedication to his clients, and commitment to upholding the highest standards of the legal profession."
In his role as National Representative, Amundson will be responsible for representing his region at the national level, participating in ABOTA's initiatives and programs aimed at preserving the civil jury system, contributing to the development and implementation of educational programs for the legal community and the public, and promoting ethical and professional standards in the profession.
"I am deeply honored to have been selected as the ABOTA National Representative for the Orange County Chapter," said Amundson. "I look forward to contributing to ABOTA's mission and working with my colleagues to promote the importance of the civil jury trial and the integrity of our legal system."
