Overview
Gustavo Martinez is a Senior Associate at WSHB’s Miami Brickell office. He is a seasoned, results-oriented litigator who handles complex civil litigation including breach of contract, catastrophic injury, and premises liability. Mr. Martinez is a South Florida native. He obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Legal Studies while attending Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Martinez earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Martinez gained extensive and invaluable experience in the courtroom by working as an Assistant Public Defender for over five years. He is a veteran litigator who has directed or cross-examined hundreds of witnesses and has represented clients at countless evidentiary hearings. Throughout his career Mr. Martinez has deposed over 750 people and tried dozens of jury trials to verdict. As lead counsel he successfully prevailed at every jury trial against the State Attorney’s Office. Mr. Martinez is fully bilingual in both English and Spanish.
