Overview

Heather Philson is an associate attorney at WSHB's Sonoma County office, where she handles all facets of complex civil litigation. With a background in philosophy and experience in education, Heather offers a unique perspective to her legal work. Her skill set includes dissecting complex legal issues, identifying key legal principles in persuasive briefs, and conducting thorough legal research to further our clients' best interests. 

Heather graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she was the co-vice president of the Student Immigration Law Association and the University Liaison for the Disability Rights and Advocacy Law Student Association. She received the 2023 Pursuit of Justice Award, which is awarded to the graduating student who best exemplifies the law school's commitment to service to others. Heather also received a CALI award for earning the top grade in Immigration Law. Before attending law school, Heather received her B.A. in Philosophy with an emphasis in Pre-Law and Applied Ethics from Sonoma State University. Her background also includes working in education with children and adults with Autism.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Heather has also worked in non-profits and legal clinics. Her experience in business immigration allowed her to obtain valuable experience in drafting motions, handling appeals, and conducting legal research.
