Overview
Irene Kolonias is an associate attorney at WSHB's Miami, Florida office, where she specializes in complex tort and casualty matters as well as commercial litigation.
Before joining WSHB, Irene gained extensive experience counseling and defending employers, insurers, and third-party administrators on workers' compensation matters in New York. She was involved in all aspects of claims from initial referral through resolution, including discovery, hearings, depositions, and trials. Before that, Irene handled securities class action matters, drafting pleadings, motions, statements of claims, and memoranda in securities fraud class actions arising under the FINRA Rules, Securities Act of 1933, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Irene graduated cum laude from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. While in law school, she worked as a corporate legal intern with Jaguar Land Rover North America, supporting general counsel on product liability, licensing, advertising, and intellectual property issues. Additionally, Irene was a Pace University's Investor Rights Clinic member, representing investors of modest means in securities arbitration matters before FINRA.
