Overview
Janeé Prince is a senior associate in our Tampa office. A passionate and skilled litigator, Janee has a multifaceted range of experience in litigation. At WSHB, she represents clients in complex civil litigation, encompassing all facets of general liability matters, as well as first-party coverage and extra-contractual matters.
Janee's legal experience includes serving as a former Assistant Public Defender in the 13th Judicial Circuit. In this role, she fought for the rights of indigent individuals facing significant legal battles. She tried over 30 jury and non-jury trials that ranged in complexity from misdemeanor to felonies.
Outside of the courtroom, Janee is passionate about community and diversity. In the past, she has served on the George Edgecomb Bar Association's Executive Board as the Press Secretary. She is the recipient of the 2019-2020 George Edgecomb Bar Association's Young Lawyer's Award. In law school, she published an article in The University of Pennsylvania Journal of Law and Social Change entitled, “Can I Touch Your Hair?” Exploring Double Binds and the Black Tax in Law School, 20 U. Pa. J.L. & Soc. Change 29 (2017).
A double Spartan, Janee received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science – Pre-Law with a minor in Philosophy in the Law from Michigan State University in 2011. She returned to Michigan State College of Law and earned her Juris Doctor.
Janee is licensed to practice in Florida and in the Federal Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.
