Overview
Jessica Gonzales handles the defense of employment practices and arbitration matters, as well as catastrophic injury, premises liability and product liability matters. She advises and represents clients in a wide range of employment matters, including issues related to:
- Discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, and disability;
- Retaliation and interference with rights under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA);
- Noncompete, no solicitation, and nondisclosure agreements; and
- Wage and hour disputes under federal and state law.
Jessica has conducted numerous investigations for both public and private sector employers concerning sensitive claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, as well as fiduciary duty claims. Additionally, she regularly provides counsel and consultation to businesses and companies for improving and implementing effective employment policies and agreements. Jessica also maintains an active litigation practice before federal and state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Texas Workforce Commission. She has experience with federal and state multidistrict litigation.
Ms. Gonzales works vigorously to represent her clients' interests and provide creative and effective solutions to a variety of legal issues. She believes in a client-centered practice and ensures that her clients are informed and involved throughout the litigation process.
Jessica graduated from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law. During law school, she participated and was an advocate for a mock trial focusing on harassment in the workplace. Jessica also served as the secretary for the American Constitution Society and fundraising chair for the Women's Law Student Association. Prior to law school, she graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology.
