Overview
Jocelyn Small is a senior associate in WSHB's Tampa office. She focuses her practice on insurance coverage and complex civil litigation, including general liability matters.
She graduated from Widener University Delaware Law School, where Jocelyn earned an MLK Semester of Service Fellowship and a pro bono distinction. She was also the Vice President of Academics and Community Service for the Student Bar Association and the President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Association. Jocelyn obtained her undergraduate degree from Eckerd College, where she studied Political Science. She also obtained her master's degree from the University of Manchester, UK where she studied European Politics and Policy.
She began her legal career as a criminal defense attorney at the Public Defender's Office in the 13th Judicial Circuit. In this position, Jocelyn tried to verdict multiple jury trials, ranging in complexity from misdemeanors to felonies.
Outside of the office, Jocelyn enjoys volunteering with the Junior League of Tampa, watching hockey, going to the beach, and traveling.
