Overview
Johana Quirantes is a senior associate practicing in WSHB’s Orlando office. She is an experienced litigator skilled at defending complex general liability cases, including those involving negligence, premises liability, and automobile accidents. Drawing on her extensive litigation background, Johana effectively represents a wide range of clients with a meticulous and strategic approach.
Johana began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Orlando, Florida, where she completed numerous jury trials and achieved every felony promotion available before being selected for the Special Victims Unit. This experience provided her with a robust foundation in trial advocacy and honed her litigation skills.
A cum laude graduate of Florida State University College of Law, Johana was frequently on the Dean’s List and gained practical experience as an intern at the Innocence Project of Florida, reviewing cases of potential wrongful convictions. She also served as a certified legal intern for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, practicing in the Juvenile Courthouse. Johana earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International University, graduating summa cum laude. During her undergraduate studies, she worked full-time as a legal assistant at a multidisciplinary law firm, where she gained experience in personal injury, family law, and criminal defense.
