Overview
Kathryn Boyle is a senior associate attorney at WSHB’s Chicago office. Her practice focuses on complex commercial and tort litigation, employment, and construction matters. Katie has a broad range of litigation experience, including jury trials in state and federal courts and before state agencies such as the EEOC Board and Illinois Department of Human Rights Commission.
Before joining WSHB, Katie was an associate for a boutique civil litigation defense firm where she specialized in complex Section 1983 defense for municipalities and their respective police departments, as well as various employment litigation and commercial litigation matters. She also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, defending state government agencies and their employees in civil rights and correctional healthcare claims in state and federal courts.
Katie earned her law degree from New England Law | Boston and her B.A. in Legal Studies from Ball State University. While in law school, she consistently made the Dean’s List and earned a CALI Award for the Highest Grade in Business Transactions.
Katie is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Chicago Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association, and the Sports Lawyers’ Association. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling and is a massive Chicago sports fan.
