Overview
Laura Nishimura is a senior associate in WSHB’s Chicago office with extensive experience defending negligence and general commercial liability claims in state and federal court. She has a wealth of knowledge and skills that Laura developed through her various roles, including working as an appellate law clerk for the Supreme Court of Guam.
Laura honed her research and writing skills as a law clerk analyzing issues of first impression in trade secret litigation and a constitutional challenge to executive COVID regulations. She served on a committee with the justices of the Supreme Court of Guam revising lawyer disciplinary rules and presented a CLE to the Guam Bar Association on the changes to disciplinary regulations.
She earned her law degree from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where Laura served as the Deputy Managing Editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology.
