Overview

Richard is the Managing Partner of WSHB’s Atlanta office. Richard’s practice focuses on insurance coverage and litigation, representing clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He is a trusted advisor and respected advocate.

Richard’s insurance coverage practice involves advising and representing domestic and international insurers on first-party property, commercial general liability, construction defect, employment practices liability, and professional errors and omission claims. Richard has successfully litigated a wide variety of first-party and third-party insurance cases, including the interpretation of policy provisions and exclusions, quantum disputes, hurricane catastrophes, bad faith and extra-contractual claims, and the application of regulatory and statutory schemes.

Richard also has extensive experience defending insureds in personal injury, marine accidents, wrongful death, construction defect, property damage, premises liability, and professional and medical malpractice claims.

In addition to his litigation and coverage practice, Richard has over a decade of London Market experience. He spent time on a secondment with a leading Lloyd’s of London syndicate, advising its claims and legal teams on a wide variety of North American claims, underwriting and regulatory issues.

Richard has been recognized by his peers as a Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star for Insurance Coverage.
